Live music, Kid-Struction Zone among attractions for Boogie on the Bayou May 3 in Plaquemine

The Boogie on the Bayou set for May 3 will feature an event geared to the adult crowd and one aimed toward the kids.

The festivities at the Henry Nadler Pavilion, 23245 Short St., Plaquemine – which run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. – will feature the Swamp Pop tunes of Junior Lacrosse and his band.

For the younger crowd, a Kid-Struction Zone will allow youngster to see, touch and jump on board a park full of large machinery and equipment, including a fire truck, bulldozer, dump truck and more.

A Quiet Zone for children with special needs will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Face-painting also will be offered for kids, along with a balloon artist.

Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the event.
